Writing History--Fan Fic: I've been writing prose and poetry since I was in the fourth grade but I really started getting serious about my creative writing when I was 13. My first fanfic was a convoluted (and TOTALLY Mary-Sue) fic for "Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman." It's cringeworthy and cliched, but does show some promise. Boldly Trekking: I started writing fic for "Star Trek Voyager" in 1996 when I was in ninth grade, beginning with an AU version of the second season cliff-hanger, "Basics." I've written between 35 and 40 fics of various lengths (most of them multi-chaptered) for Voyager. My 'ships are primarily J/C and J/P, though I've been known to delve into others. Profile This: I got started on Profiler during the show's last season in 1999. How my love for the canon aspects of the show evolved into the very non-canon George/Grace and Grace/Bailey I will never know. I started up ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} profiler_fans with ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} devilwrites in 2001 and co-modded until m_ravensblood and kajivar took over. To date, I've written 50+ Profiler fics of various lengths and encompassing various ships. I'm currently working on Jack's Murder Book and The Files of Rachel Burke, complete episode guides for the series with trivia, facts, notable moments, quotations, and unanswered questions. I also write as one of the VCTF team members on vctf. Other Fandoms: I write for "The West Wing" (CJ/Toby and CJ/Danny) "Bones" (most of which turns into cross-over fics with "Profiler") and occasionally for "Nip/Tuck"; "Lost"; and "Dexter." I have written extensive alternate endings for the movies "Silence of the Lambs" and "Hannibal" but rarely play in the Lecter-verse anymore. I've also written fictional tributes and/or send ups of "Rocky Horror Picture Show," "The Mothman Prophecies," and "Galaxy Quest." Non-Fic Writing: My current project is a work of non-fiction called "Playing on the Mood Swings." It explores in depth what it is to live with depression and bipolar disorder. I'm also developing that idea into a YA novel using my own journals (including my LJ) from the past decade and a half as a springboard. Screenwriting: I'm currently developing Patricia Cornwell's novel "The Body Farm" into the pilot for a TV series called "Cadaver." On hold is another prokect based on Cornwell's "All that Remains." Past work includes an adaptation of Kate Chopin's "The Awakening"; a short film called "Tidewater Christmas"; and a series of short films on various subjects. | ||
